Default Debian: Setting up Private NIC IP on Crucial Xen VPS

These instructions are if you have a Debian VPS with us, and have a private network configured. By default your private IP will not come up correctly, so you can set do the following to have it automatically start on boot:

Create /etc/network/interfaces.template

Edit file:

auto eth1
iface eth1 inet static
address XX.XX.XX.XX
netmask 255.255.0.0


Reboot from HyperVM
