Network Issues/Packet Loss - 28th April 2010

Hi,

We are experiencing packet loss on one of our providers links, if you are currently being affected by this please provide the following information with a support ticket.

1. 'traceroute, tracert' or 'mtr, winmtr' from the host in question.

This will show us the path you are taking to your server and any possible problems in between.

2. 100 PINGS sent to and from the hosts. Please only submit the end results not all 100 replies.

3. Information about any firewalls or packet filters you might be running

4. Information about the application you are experiencing the latency in.

5. Information on how to possibly replicate the problem.

6. Your account details, including server IP, domain name, and any additional details.

MTR for Unix / Linux can be found via the ports and packages or RPM's for your OS. Many OS's already have it installed.

If you do not provide this information you will be asked for it
