Vocus Maintenance Notification - San Jose Hardware Upgrade - 27th October 2011

Vocus have scheduled the following maintenance window,

Start Date: Thursday 27th October 2011, 03:30 AEDT (UTC +11); 05:30 NZDT (UTC +13) End Date: Thursday 27th October 2011, 04:30 AEDT (UTC +11); 06:30 NZDT (UTC +13)

Vocus engineers are upgrading a hardware forwarding engine in a San Jose border router during the above window. The new module is required to accommodate projected increases in transit capacity at this location.

During this window, the device will need to be physically powered down by a Vocus engineer on-site. While this is occurring, traffic will re-route via a secondary path.

The work is not envisaged to run for the full length of the window, however given the nature of the change we have allocated one hour.
