If you notice any issues with kernel modules, please follow the steps given below.
1. Go to /lib/modules/. If this folder is not existing, please create it. cd /lib/modules/ 2. Download 2.6.18-194.11.4.el5xen.tgz wget http://temp.files.crucialp.com/2.6.1...1.4.el5xen.tgz 3. Extract files tar -xzvf 2.6.18-194.11.4.el5xen.tgz 4. Use "modprobe" to load required kernel modules or reboot vps. You have to follow above steps, if you are using csf or another application that requires some special kernel modules. If you are using some custom build kernel modules, you will have to rebuild them again. eg: You will have to reinstall r1soft client, if you are using r1soft. Please check following link to see how you could get kernel source. KB: https://support.crucialp.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticl eid=19

Hi Everyone,
For our Self Managed Customers (and our Fully Managed) anyone coming across some /tmp related issues it will be because of permissions of the tmp directory on your VPS. To resolve this issue you can either simply chmod 1777 /tmp or run the scripts /scripts/securetmp To our Full Managed Customers if you aren't sure on what to do, please submit a Ticket. However note the queue length is running high atm so there may be a delay in getting back to you.

Found the problem,
Yesterday put in a ticket to have a ssl installed on a new static ip, however support tech assigned a nameserver ip to the domain that had ssl installed, so i reassigned the new ip to the domain and restarted the nameservices...and whollah...here i guess i should be going off at the tech who stuffed up initially, but you you know what, im quite pleased with crucial till date and mistakes can happen...so there you go. keep up the good work. thanks Guys |
