Vocus Hazard Notification - SCCN Fibre Relocation - 5th October 2011

Vocus have sent out the following hazard notification,

Start Date: Wednesday 5th October 2011, 04:00 AEDT (UTC +11); 06:00 NZDT (UTC +13) End Date: Wednesday 5th October 2011, 06:00 AEDT (UTC +11); 08:00 NZDT (UTC +13)

During the above window, The Southern Cross Cable Network will be relocating fibre on Segment F3 (Hillsboro to Nedonna). There is currently no impact to traffic and the relocation is expected to take up to 10 minutes. As Vocus' circuits have protection on this path, there will be a 50 msec protection switch, plus loss of protection whilst the maintenance takes place. Other than the protection switch, we do not anticipate any impact to customer services.
