server load policy?

Hi guys,

The server I am on (s456) has been running loads between 5 and 7 all day, and I am seeing some site load time degradation, presumably as a consequence.

I could post a support ticket asking for someone to look at it, but I thought I would ask the more general question here of - whats your policy on acceptable load on boxes and how are you monitoring this on a daily/hourly basis?

Hi elysian,

Load can should average between 0-8 (due to our accounts being on 8 core systems), we have some servers running 5-6 no problems. If you account is slow to access however, then this could be something else effecting the server. If this does occur at any point then please submit a ticket and our support team can take a look into it.
