Default cron jobs not working in cPanel
Configuring cron jobs doesn't work in cPanel; it gives this error message:

/usr/bin/crontab permissions are wrong (0755). Please set to 4755.

and attempting to add a cron job doesn't work.

This seems to be a known problem:

Any chance of getting it fixed?

How are you trying to configure the cronjob? Through the cPanel interface or through the command line (SSH)?

Through the cPanel interface. According to the cPanel forum (see link above) it's a known problem with a simple fix.
