There are plenty of other ntp servers, so its certainly not a necessity. That said, I suppose its more like a detail that rounds out your range of services.

In fact, after posting my initial question it occurred to me that maybe your servers sync their own clocks via an ntp source and then distribute it to their respective virtual servers?? If that were the case then CP is essentially providing an ntp service anyway.

Yes, this is true - on our Linux VPS plans you cannot change the time from within the VPS, we already have it set on the host node. I believe on Windows VPS plans this is slightly different.

My question was in the context of a linux vps so it looks like I already inherit your server ntp synced time. I'm happy.
