Default Reverse DNS records

Anyone know who's responsible for entering reverse DNS ptr records?
e.g. 111.111.111.in-addr.arpa is ns1.domain.com

I've always had it done by the IP address owner (vps host) but I've been told this is wrong.

Any help appreciated.

By who? Crucial?

You should just be able to put in a support ticket to Crucial with the IP and what you want, and they'll take care of it.

Yeah I opened a ticket and asked and was told it wasn't their job (I'm paraphrasing of course).

There is plenty of information online about what it looks like but not a lot on who puts it there.

Hi aglenday,

Yes, that is done by us usually. Can you please PM me the ticket number and I'll take a look into it for you?

Hi aglenday,

I found your ticket, the reverse DNS was set as you requested right in the beginning of the ticket. I've replied to the ticket with further details to clear up any confusion.
