Default Somebody please duplicate this error?

Hi. We are having issues with PHP, Fantastico, and subdomains.

  1. Create subdomain: sub.yourdomain.com.au
  2. fantastico Install joomla/wordpress on subdomain
  3. fantastico uninstall joomla/wordpress
  4. go to file manager open sub.yourdomain.com.au
  5. check to see if files were removed.
  6. If files still there try delete
  7. if unsuccessful read file permissions (possibly 411)
-

The issue we are having is that with Fantastico installs of wordpress/joomla that are installed on the root of a subdomain are successful but Fantastico fails to remove the script via the correct procedures afterward: Fantastico > wordpress/joomla > Uninstall

The files remain on the subdomain and are set to permissions 411. The files and folders then have to be reset to another permission to remove them manually.

This does not happen on the client root domain home/public_html/

If someone could try this and report back it could save a tremendous amount of trouble.
regards

ant.

Hi ant,

I have not seen this error before, have you contacted Tech Support regarding this?

'Hi Aaron yes I did. There is a ticket open and I just got off the phone with Ian.

My conclusions are that "Fantastico" is unable to leave an adequate uninstall script on a subdomain install.

Wordpress/joomla
Fantastico install on root home/public_html Successful
Fantastico un-install Successful

Fantastico install on root domain in folder home/public_html/"anyfoldername" Successful
Fantastico un-install Successful

Fantastico install on subdomain root home/public_html/"subdomain" Successful
Fantastico un-install FAIL

error log reads:
Code:
[24-Jun-2010 00:17:45] PHP Warning: chmod() [<a href='function.chmod'>function.chmod</a>]: No such file or directory in /home/csdeath/public_html/fantastictest/prepare_removal.php on line 110
[24-Jun-2010 00:17:45] PHP Warning: chmod() [<a href='function.chmod'>function.chmod</a>]: No such file or directory in /home/csdeath/public_html/fantastictest/prepare_removal.php on line 110

I personally believe this would happen on everyone's account and that it is a fault of the Fantastico installer scripting.
