Default Joomla 1.6.3 Installation

Hi All,

I am new to this website business and I am trying to install Joomla 1.6.3 for my website. During the installation, I noted that my Display Errors is set to on. I know that I have to put in php_flag display_errors off in .htaccess file. I am not sure which file to put in. I have tried the .htaccess file in /public_html/Joomla and it doesn't work. I could find any php.ini as well. Please let me know.

Thank you in advance.

Cheers,

Display errors being turned on is not really a problem, but its a good idea because it stops your site from divulging information that may be used to attack the site when errors in the code occur. If you can not turn it off, it will not prevent the website from operating correctly.
